Welcome to the Ghana Network Information Centre (GhNIC) homepage. GhNIC is not-for-profit organization responsible for setting up policies for and managing the .gh domain namespace. GhNIC is the Internet registry and ccTLD organization for the Republic of Ghana.Formed in 1997, GhNIC has been managing the .gh namespace with policy inputs from the Internet Society of Ghana (ISOC-GH) and a technical contract with Network Computer Systems Ltd. (NCS) who have been managing the .gh name servers.
GhNIC is formalizing its policy development process by setting up an organizational structure to meet these challenges. A policy advisory committee (PAC) has been setup to advise on policies emanating form the GhNIC secretariat headed by the GhNIC Executive Director for approval by the GhNIC Board of Directors after such policies have been open for comments at a public forum.GhNIC looks up to all stakeholders and the ICT industry to contribute to the development of the registry. |
