GhNIC to hold Annual General Meeting

Ghana Network Information Centre (GhNIC), the .gh ccTLD organization will hold it's Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 11 th November, 2004 at the Miklin Hotel, Accra . A statement from the GhNIC Secretariat signed by its coordinator, Mr. Eric Akumiah said the AGM will bring the largest gathering of stakeholders in the country code top level domain constituency in Ghana . He said this was due to the fact that GhNIC was undergoing reforms to allow more stakeholders to participate in the running and decision making process of the registry. Highlight of the AGM includes a report on the performance of the registry by the registry operator, Network Computer Systems (NCS) contracted by GhNIC to run registry service for GhNIC, a board meeting to approve GhNIC plans and activities for the year 2005 as well as a Policy Advisor Committee (PAC) meeting on the future of the .gh technical management.

GhNIC Begins Outreach Program

Ghana Network Information Centre (GhNIC), the .gh ccTLD organization will hold its first Public outreach program to inform the general public of its activities on Thursday, 16th December, 2004 at the Kofi Annan Center of Excellence in IT, Accra . Presentations made at the recently-ended GhNIC Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be re-presented at 1 st GhNIC outreach program. These include presentations on ENUM: Uptake and Challenge, Multi-lingual TLD, and the New ccTLD Global Organization. The program will start at 2:00pm Prompt.
